Westbrook Receives Prestigious Award

Dr. W. Parker Westbrook, a general dentist in Camilla has received the 1999 Honorable Fellow Award from the Georgia Dental Association. This coveted award was presented July 25 during the Associations’ Annual Meeting in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Honorable Fellow Award is on of the Association’s highest honors and is bestowed on select GDA members who exhibit outstanding community service, integrity, adherence to the GDA code of ethics, and dedication to the dental profession.
Dr. Westbrook graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1983, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, Southwestern District Dental Association serving as president 1997-1998, a founding member of the Albany Area Perio-Restorative Study Club, Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and Georgia Academy of Dental Practice.
Westbrook is a member of the Camilla Rotary Club, serving as president 1990-1991. He is on the Westwood Schools Board of Trustees serving as treasurer.
He is a member of the St. Francis Episcopal Church and presently serves as senior warden.
The 2,600 members of the Georgia Dental Association are pledged to promote the highest level of dental health for the citizens of Georgia and to guide and monitor the quality of dental care through activities of the Association.
International College of Dentists Award
A Camilla Dentist, Dr. W. Parker Westbrook, Ill, was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists at its 85th Annual Convocation in San Antonio, Texas on October 10, 2014. The International College of Dentists is an honorary organization for the recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to the profession and community.
